A. is a two-year-old who came to Lola as a resident in June of 2010. He came to Lola underweight and understimulated due to a long period in hospital. He is now improving both in his health and development. He is laughing and starting to exercise his limbs but has not yet reached normal milestones for his age. He is a happy boy and is verbalizing well. If he needs attention, he has a special way of calling the nannie+s and then he smiles. A. likes to interact with his environment, and he is at the stage where he is exploring objects–pushing and pulling them, and putting them into containers. He is an observant child and loves to be part of the group. His favorite foods are injera with shiro and his bottle with milk.
